Emergency Communications for Christmas Market

Kingsford Events helped keep around 130,000 visitors to the city centre based Christmas Market safe with the installation of their public address systems covering all part of the city centre where that the event occupied.

Using their modern public address system equipment, Kingsford Events installed - during the nights prior to the event, so as to minimise disruption to normal city centre operations and public foot traffic - 2km of cable to create a 4 zone system.

The system was controlled from the event control room based on the edge of the city centre. Announcements could be made from the control room or via a dial in telephone connection, allowing the emergency services to speedily communicate with the public.
