Helping to light London up safely

Lumiere London, a world renowned free to attend festival of light took place across London City last weekend. A display of over 50 art installations, all based around illumination were scattered across the city.

Kingsford Events provided an Event Safety Advisor to work as part of the safety team both overseeing the installation of the artworks and during the live event within the event control room to manage and safety concerns or incident that may occur.

Many of the artists and contractors were from across the world, some with only a basic understanding of English and even less understanding of Health and Safety. Challenges that were all overcome to ensure the installation phase was completed without incident.

The event was said to have attracted in excess of an additional 2 million visitors to London over the course of the 4 night event.
